INVITATION TO THE FESTIVAL FRAGILE

We cordially invite you to the festive opening of FRAGILE - Festival for young changemakers! under construction #4

From September 20 to October 1, 2023, for the first time "FRAGILE - Festival for young changemakers" will take place in Wuppertal, an international festival for young DanceMusicTheater on perspectives of sustainability. Schauspielhaus, Bundesallee 260, Wuppertal, Germany

On September 20th at 6:00 pm, before the festival starts, we will open the installation around the Grunchy Villa in front of the Schauspielhaus Wuppertal together with the artists and architects of raumlaborberlin. It is the result of the construction and textile workshop within the project "Symbioses" with Jan Liesegang, Raul Walch, Antonello Prezioso and 16 international young artists, architects and other enthusiasts. In cooperation with the AWG Abfallwirtschaftsgesellschaft Wuppertal (Waste Management Company Wuppertal) they are currently building, sewing, inventing, with the question:
What counts as a resource? What constitutes waste? The artists' and architects' network raumlaborberlin was recently awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 2021 and the Green Bauhaus Award in 2023.

FRAGILE presents exciting productions around the themes of ecological, economic and social sustainability - for young people and for everyone! The festival is aimed at an intergenerational audience from 0 - 99! Because our world is far too divided. With exciting international dance productions, we want to offer a space: For exchange, experience, for encouragement and to get into action. The increasing climate catastrophes make it clear: we need community and - we need global empathy!

FESTIVAL FRAGILE Accompanying Program In addition to the festival program, there will also be activities and workshops to prepare for and follow up on the plays, as well as a general accompanying program. We will present the overview of the accompanying actions on our homepage. What are the themes? How does the festival tie in with experiences?
