Opening ceremony of the exibition

The exhibition was formally opened on 7 June 2023 at 12 noon.

Three renowned international design studios personally presented their designs: Prof. Elisabeth Diller represented Diller Scofidio + Renfro, winners of the first prize; Prof. Sebastian Jehle represented Hascher Jehle Architekten from Berlin, winners of the second prize; and Philipp Auer represented Auer Weber Assoziierte from Munich, winners of the third prize.

Other speakers included Christoph Felger of David Chipperfield Architects, representing members of the jury; Dr Hildegard Kaluza, Head of Culture at the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia; Prof. Uwe Schneidewind, the Mayor of Wuppertal; Mirja Montag, Head of Buildings for the City of Wuppertal; and Matthias Nocke, the City of Wuppertal’s Head of Cultural Affairs.
