General information on Data processing
We categorically collect and use personal data on the website of the Pina Bausch Centre only insofar as this is required for the provision of a functional and operative website as well as of our contents and services.
The required legal authorisation results from Article 3 of the Data Protection Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (DSG NRW) in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e GDPR.
The personal data of the data subject will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of the storage no longer applies. In addition, storage may then occur if provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws, or other regulations to which the controller is subject.
Hosting of the website with a service provider
On behalf of the City of Wuppertal, the website of the Pina Bausch Centre is technically realised by labor b medienagentur, which uses the services of AIXPRO GmbH for web hosting. The data and information collected automatically when visiting the website are not collected on the servers of the city, but on the servers rented by labor b at AIXPRO GmbH. For this reason, the City of Wuppertal has concluded an agreement on data processing on behalf with labor b medienagentur pursuant to Art. 28 para. 3 GDPR, which in turn has concluded a corresponding agreement with AIXPRO GmbH.
Provision of the website and creation of log files
Each time the website of the Pina Bausch Centre is accessed, data and information from the computer system of the calling computer are collected automatically:
- the IP address of the calling computer
- the date and time the page is accessed
- the URL of the accessed page
- information as to whether the access was successful
- the transmitted quantity of data
- the name and version of the browser and operating system
This server access data is stored in the system log files, separate from other personal data.
The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to allow delivery of the website to the user’s computer. The additional logging of server access data for seven days takes place to protect the data processing systems from attacks and to optimise the website for its smooth operation. It serves the sole purpose of analysing misuse and errors. The log files are only viewed if technical problems arise and the data contained in the log files can be used to help resolve these problems. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place.
The legal basis for the temporary storage of server access data is Article 3 of the DSG NRW in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e GDPR. Since the collection of data for the provision of the website and storage in log files is absolutely essential for the operation of the website, there is no possibility of objection on the part of the user.
Cookies
The website of the Pina Bausch Centre uses so-called cookies, small text files that are placed in the Internet browser or by the browser in your computer’s operating system, and transmitted to the website.
